Dear Land I: Distant Reconstructions of A Fabled Land unfurls the pages from the author’s diaristic journal containing intimate encounters in a Botswanan landscape told through stories, fables, phenomena, and events. Presented with photographic images, artifacts, and a documentary film of the Botswanan saltscape, the installation provides an intertextual reading into the saltscape's ephemeral, transient and unseen qualities; it invites for a distant reconstruction of a fabled land alchemised in pantone pink.
